How it glares right though me…

With apathetic interest
It’s estranged compassion,
With taunting indifference,
And its daunting regard.

Yet.. how it prevails upon me,

Through obscure beginnings
And imperceptible ends,
Across ambiguous horizons
Within these nebulous realms.

How distinctly it touches me,

Through rejuvenating scars
And the palpable agony,
Notice, how bitter the aftertaste
And how delectable the memory.

Yet…how elusive it remains,

The benevolent tormentor,
The illusionist destined to betray,
Yes… time…it truly is deceptive,
All it ever does – is slip away…
