"BARREN HANDS" by Zhee

Dare I raise these barren hands?
That emptiness does stain.
Dare I break the shackled silence
And speak to you of pain?

Shall I lift my gaze to heaven
That is enraged at all my sins,
Or will you now make me crawl
With all the hypocritic, prostrating mannequins.

Dare I question what is mine?
When this delirious realm is yours,
For I walked with my naked soul
And they all just closed their doors.

May I open my enshrouded eyes
For ‘tis madness when malevolence leads,
See how the vultures flock above
As the crippled angle bleeds.

Dare I raise these barren hands?
That emptiness does stain.
Dare I break the shackled silence
And speak to you of pain?
