Everyone thinks they're good at tetris
Except me and my girl
'cause she doesn't think she's good at anything
And I don't think anyone is good at tetris
The world's not so fucked up
Because everyone's so isolated
It's the other way around
We know the bomb's about to kill us all

I wish you knew
How much I appreciate you
And you always make me feel
Like the way I know I am
And you're such a pretty girl
Such a shame I'll never have you
And I can't ever enjoy you
'cause you're about to move away

The world set free from it's earthly concerns
Instead we've set our hopes on space
24 billion dollars and the launch pad crumbles with the modern state
We can get some bozo to make a leap for all mankind
I'm not full of terror but I'm damn well terrified

Why are you such a control freak?
Maybe it runs in the family
Are you ready for your dreams to die?
Well, if they will it'll probably be tomorrow night
I want to make a video game
That gets harder as you go along
I'll call it schadenfreude
Because you think you're getting worse
It's by design
By the way, I want to hurt you

We're on a rocket to the sun
And we'll fix everyone's problems
We'll come back to a hero's welcome
When our grandchildren have forgotten
I keep wishing you were here
When I'm having trouble sleeping
You're my everything
And she's my everything else

The world set free from it's earthly concerns
Instead we've set our hopes on space
24 billion dollars and the launch pad crumbles with the modern state
We can get some bozo to make a leap for all mankind
I'm not full of terror but I'm damn well terrified

The world set free from survivalist overtones
Because we're so afraid of death
And some fucking 19-year old preferred the bottom of a pool instead
If they don't find him for six months, what's the age they list at death
All I see is ash, I can barely take a breath

The world was never free until we discovered electrons
We could never see them, but we decided on weak hydrogen bonds
I can't count my fingers on my fingers anymore
When we're finished with the world, we can't duck out the back door
