Escape the past,
No one can tell you where you're heading,
Nothing lasts,
It's clear to me that you are lying,
Visionary eyes,
Can see beyond my own desperate ending,
But eyes can die,
And I am clearly slowly dying.

Visionary eyes... I like this idea. I wonder what they see, past the mortal end? This is brief and good. Eyes see beyond death, yet see death also.
