Bleeding from the mouth,
Bit my tongue too hard this time,
Trying too keep quiet too long,
Forgetting how to speak,
Not telling you how stupid you sound,
Not telling people that they know too much.
Hanging myself with my own brilliance,
That's what I always do.
Sounding stupid is what I do best,
But knowing more than others just comes naturally,
And I am smarter than you, that's a fact!
I know when to keep my mouth shut,
I know when to listen,
I know when to speak;
I know...
But recently I've been infected by you,
I've been speaking out and sounding stupid,
I've been listening and not understanding,
I've been infected,
Or have I just been quiet for too long?
Have I been quiet so long that I have come to believe,
The stupid things I say?
I Hang myself with my own brilliance,
And my mind finally dies,
And sleeps.
I am one of you, now.
I am a face in the crowd.
