Another american was ruthlessly beheaded today

Another sacrifice for truth and the American Way

And for the president who would thus justify

Another innocent victim was shot and killed today

Another trophy for the mantle of the N.R.A.

And for the president who would be their pawn

Another child went to bed hungry today

Another statistic for the books and the media to play

And for the president who dined on champagne

Another person with Aids has died today

Another death, oh well, he was probably gay

And for the president who turned a blind eye

Another voice from below went unnoticed today

Another reason to keep your opinions at bay

And for the president who sits with deaf ears

Another food program was stolen from the U.N. today

Another tyrant is now earning his pay

And for the president who knows nothing at all

Another soldier gave his life for his country today

Another reason for the mothers to pray

And for the president who would be their king

Another mockery of freedom has occured today

Another mockery occuring day after day

And for the president who would be again

Thank you for your comments Elisa - and I quite agree with you. This could be written about any president in any country in just about any time period. Still - when will the people learn?

I know it's frustrating..I tend to look past the governments of the world & remember that just because people try to lead it doesn't mean I have to follow. We're not Romans there's no Nero & scapegoating any ONE individual is what killed Jesus...

just remember that all these systems are designed to distract & limit options in peoples minds. it takes a lot of responsibility to realize it's the citizens of the world that make up the population...

most bad ideas begin when people look to change a system out of spite..just try to keep a level head & remember so far we're the only humans in the universe(?) we should appreciate the fact we're not alone..I understand mystic I really do:) elisa
