I cut me
I make myself bleed
I cut me
And this is how I feed

I feed on your pity

I feed on disdain

I feed on my sorrows

I feed on the pain

I cut me
I make myself bleed
I cut me
And this is how I feed

I feed on my weakness

I feed on the feign

I feed on tomorrows

I may never obtain

I cut me
I make myself bleed
I cut me
And this is how I feed

I feed on my title

I feed on my reign

I feed on your empathy

I feed all the same

I cut me
I make myself bleed
I cut me
And this is how I feed

*sorry cutters (and those who would empathize with you) I have no use for your pathetic plea's for attention!!!!!

cutting doesn't seek attention, it really is a pain we feed on! sounds like one would know

lol thank you! why hurt your self for attention? don't be brave enough to make yourself look stupid by looking like you've battled a damn meatgrinder and lost, be brave and peak up and ask for HELP!!!!!Kya

I, myself being a cutter/burner, do not look for sympathy from anyone. It is simply my escape from reality. I keep the scars hidden for LACK of attention. It is quite an emberassing thing to try to explain to someone, in fact.

On Tuesday November 16th, 2004, Savannah (290) writes:
After reading this quite "closed-minded" poem, I wrote a (hopefully) educating rant on the topic, myself. Perhaps you could read it and understand the real reasons SOME choose, for lack of better words, to become "cutters".

lovely write... you made a point.. said your words about that subject in a very .. respectable way

In no way am I for cutting but I do like this, you write wonderfully.

Plea is spelled P-L-E-A. Sorry guys! I don't give a D-A-M-N about cutters either. But I can empathize with this poem.

On Monday September 20th, 2004, DarkWolf (447) writes:
I love the way you expressed this Mystic. I write a lot about 'cutting' I hope it never comes across as some kind of plea. I think my views on things are *slightly* deranged lol. Excellent write Mystic.. as always man. -Michael

Lol, sorry thats supposed to be *Plee*, lol duh.

On Sunday September 19th, 2004, Six-Out (1823) writes:
It really is spelled plea.

Lol, thanx Six, I think I need a nap. lol

On Sunday September 19th, 2004, The Kid Of Corruption (148) writes:
But at the same time I do believe that alot of it is in deed a plea for some kinda of attention. People just need to learn what is the attention plea and what one is the serious I need help plea.

On Sunday September 19th, 2004, The Kid Of Corruption (148) writes:
I can agree with both sides of this arguement. I do like this write though. I have been in the road of suicide numberous times in my past, but hey thats why I write now.

you have more patience than me my friend - perhaps more wisdom as well :)

On Sunday September 19th, 2004, Zophiel (349) writes:
Its not wisdom Mystic just a general concern. I'm not much of one for coddling or giving cookie cutter statements of praise. Yet I do genuinely care about all of humanity if not for individual humans.

*applauds Zoph's effort*

On Sunday September 19th, 2004, mysticventures (545) writes:
for a mystic - I am a cold realist - you can't save everybody - especially from themselves!

On Sunday September 19th, 2004, Zophiel (349) writes:
No you can't. but I want to try.

On Sunday September 19th, 2004, Six-Out (1823) writes:
I like this...who knows how many people I have sat down and talked with cutting, or out of suicide. I agree with you Zoph, I don't like the majority that are complaining, but I want to save as many as possible.

On Sunday September 19th, 2004, Zophiel (349) writes:
I'll admit I am aggravated by the attention getters. Their hystrionics divert attention from those who may have a legitimate problem. My concern is telling the two apart.

On Sunday September 19th, 2004, mysticventures (545) writes:
I have yet to comment on a cutter's poem (however creative it may be) for a soon as I get the jist of what it is about I move on to something else!

On Sunday September 19th, 2004, mysticventures (545) writes:
I am not so cold-hearted Zoph that I can't relate to their desperate circumstances - we have all been there at some point in time - it is the way in which they express themselves that I can't condone!

On Sunday September 19th, 2004, Zophiel (349) writes:
Here I agree. While I can't say the thought never crossed my mind it was never an option. Fortunately I was far to arrogant to 'give up'. I only wish all possessed that particular sense of ego.

On Sunday September 19th, 2004, Six-Out (1823) writes:
I agree with that statement 100% Zoph. I guess not all can see things through the same set of eyes though.

On Sunday September 19th, 2004, mysticventures (545) writes:
they have neither the balls nor the intention of killing themselves - thus they will not get my sympathy

On Sunday September 19th, 2004, Six-Out (1823) writes:
I disagree with that statement. Killing one's self takes no balls. It's takes cowardice.

On Sunday September 19th, 2004, Zophiel (349) writes:
In some cases it is neither 'balls' nor cowardice. It is a result of being mentally incapable of dealing with a constant state of stress or trauma.

On Sunday September 19th, 2004, Six-Out (1823) writes:
Thus being weakness. But people argue that too.

On Sunday September 19th, 2004, mysticventures (545) writes:
they are not asking for help Zoph, they are asking for attention!!!

On Saturday November 13th, 2004, Savannah (290) writes:
Some cutters aren't asking for ANYTHING. Some do it purely because they cannot cope with things that are going on in their lives/minds. To some, it is a release from... everything.

On Sunday September 19th, 2004, Zophiel (349) writes:
On the majority I agree. Yet if there is one that is the exception. I merely express here that my concern is for the exception.

On Sunday September 19th, 2004, mysticventures (545) writes:
I am talking about the 'cutter poets' - if they have that kind of creativity and expressiveness within them then they are not as desperate as they would like you to think they are!

On Sunday September 19th, 2004, Zophiel (349) writes:
Here I have to respectfully disagree mystic. Many of my works and the works of many famous poets reflect their state of mind during the most desperate stages of their lives.

On Sunday September 19th, 2004, mysticventures (545) writes:
very true and well spoken Six

On Sunday September 19th, 2004, Six-Out (1823) writes:
Hah, very nice. They feed on tears wasted trying to alter their way of life. If they cared, they'd change when the first tear fell from a loved one.

On Sunday September 19th, 2004, Zophiel (349) writes:
Never mind those who may actually have a real problem in need of help and fall to extreme measures because no help was offered to them.

On Sunday September 19th, 2004, Six-Out (1823) writes:
Help gets offered a lot...most shrug it off as people being dicks and assholes. So many just like throwing their problems out there, asking for help, but if they get it, they don't want it. *shrug*

On Sunday September 19th, 2004, Zophiel (349) writes:
Unless you take the time to offer help to every single person who needs it how can you know that?

On Sunday September 19th, 2004, Six-Out (1823) writes:
I said most, most being in the cases I've dealt with. No one can ever know on a whole.
