Day breaks, the sun rings painfully in my eyes
Sharp piercing ache from the bloodlust night
I shift into sobriety.

Fluttering shards of glass dance through the window
Dripping soft echos of the depressions we ended
She sucks the life from her prey

The faces they all wear, but we know,
Happiness in extinct, even in children.
Shameful, uninnocent eyes blinded by hate

Darkened bliss is all we can hope for
Lurking in the shadows of fate
I snare the suicidal infant and stop the hands of time

And another wasted life falls to Hades' pit
Filled with more joy than life could bring
And I pretend to regret the slaughter

The Journey is never ending, only fluxuating
Between phases of delight and lonesome
Like the smiling duck for christmas dinner
