a little gap of
  space to
miss inside
my head

and i need you
and i taste you
in my blood

too sweet for
honesty and when
I let you see

  the right words
fall out of your
beautiful mouth-
  unto the floor

and i skin my knees
as i try to catch them.
keep them. unbreak them.
letter by letter and
  sound by sound

you're falling around
us
dividing through my fingers;

getting the message
across

my face with
your hand
full of understanding

because i broke
a quiet role
of play

  and said the
words on High

 i. told. you.
