your lasting impression
chafes my lips;
  no matter how hard
  i lick i can't get
  the sound of
  your voice out of
  my mouth

to cheat my eyes and
inhale your breath,
let your essence
run through my body
and touch me outside-in.

Your eyes keep me
warm with their
constant attention
to my every detail,

your lips pay homage
to my wanting surface,
worshipping she whom
i love fiercly,

she whom you love more.

quietly and unending.
we tie our ends
  Together to escape
  reality.

You, enveloping we who
  make Us;
safe in our mutual hesitation.
