Petals fall to the sound of a shattered mirror
Broken glass stings the inside of hands
Numb to a stirring of emotion
Faith rips open an icy tear
Hope in a future sacrifice
Love merely the reason
Crimson follows the trail of veins
Sobs swallow passion in a fire of haste
Scribbled on the wall; a means to an ending
Followed by the poet's last remaining prose
A story told in blood
Written on her last piece of art
Softly, the heart shaped tears break into the cement below
Sight becomes blurry
Breathing fading into the cold and shattered floor
The ocean within her eyes stares blankly to the side
Her colors fade
Slipping into her paint, her pen, her dance
His presence enters with the wind
The final embrace, the understanding
Pure and lovely- her kiss will haunt
A final display of a living sorrow
He sings her a lullaby as he closes her eyes

'Hardly a Love story,' they say

'The only Love story,' he whispers.
