note: this is my sister's poem, but I really liked it, so she's letting me post for everyone to see.

What I thought could be
Will never come
I thought maybe
You were someone

Now I know
Deep inside
You are just someone
Who tells more lies

They laughed at me
They brought me down
They stomped my pride
Into the ground

You sat back
You laughed along
I thought you were better
I guess I was wrong

You ask me why
I do not stand up
Why don't you
You are supposed to be tough

It is not hard
To see inside
Just take a look
Into my eyes

If you do not search
You will not find
You never know
What may fall behind

This one thing
I ask of you
Just one thing
I ask for the truth

I would love to know why they laughed, but it doesn't matter for this piece to work.

I really like it... such a simple thing to ask for, yet so many are full of lies
