I am trapped in this void,
my heart and soul lost to the darkness
that is enfolding me.
I search for the light
to save my soul,
But the darkness grows ever stronger.
Visions flash before my eyes,
visions of my life.
I see memories,
good and bad
and then the madness that came after.
Then I see you.
You brought light and love
to my bleak existence.
You showed me what it was to live.
But like the others,
you disappeared into the darkness.
Now you are nothing but a shadow,
just like all the rest.
Now I sit here alone
in this void that surrounds me,
waiting for the light.
But I know that I am lost,
and soon I will perish
into this endless void surrounding me.
Just like everyone else.
And I will remain nothing but a shadow,
For all of eternity.
