As I look into the mirror,
It isn't me whom I see,
But something so different,
It's hard to believe.

That I've become
This disease,
That plagues my entire being,
As I look deep within,
I can't believe what I'm seeing.

The figure staring back,
Eyes turned to black,
So empty inside,
As if staring into nothingness.

Like a blank canvas,
To only be painted with blood,
No joy left inside,
From the one's I have loved.

The light inside,
No longer shines,
As if I'm fading into a dark hole,
Tears stain the face,
Never will they cease,
Death shall be my punishment..
To put this bitter soul at peace..

Blank canvas should be painted with grey...i'm gonna make a gallery of grey paintings...all greying and garishly greyed...Everything is grey...

I so love the way you write and the way you word things. Such beauty in the pain and sorrow you write about. You have great talent. Thank you for sharing it. -Michael

I have seen a lot of reflection poems similar to this but yours was executed in an all-around better fashion. Great 4th stanza.

It's hard sometimes though. For year's I've looked deep inside to find those thing's that I hold so dear of myself, and not once have I come across one. Writing is the only thing I could say that I am honestly proud of. -DE

Well, I dont know you well enough to pour out vast compliments or make you feel special... but I know enough to see just from your writing that you are intelligent and unique. Just keep searching. Your purpose will pull you once you find it. :) -Glass

The second stanza was the hardest for me. It hurt the most. Self-hatred is hatred to its fullest extent. and most dangerous. Take some time to find the things you love about yourself. Like the fact that you're a great writer. Good piece. -Glass
