tomorrow bleeds out into forever's
bleak wasteland of burnt sands
sifting through the mind
and pouring out black glass
into the sink
careful not to dip the last icecube
into the hot blood swirling
down the clogged drain.
the heart,
is just another organ
that can rupture
and spill forth apple seeds
like a pomengranate
to the underworld
for she who once and still cries "Nevermore."
