glance
    askew
   at
     the world
my
  cornea
 shattered

terrified of
mirrors
a broken eye
I cannot
see
don't want to see
please no
please stop don't
show me my

broken eye
weeping, softly
stream of fluids
and silent, silent
dread -

darkness comes
     again
but
hazed clouds
of saline pus
(a galaxy of broken glass)
blot out the
stars this time

blood fleck red dwarf stars
iris tissue fragment nebulae
beads of fluid constellations
imprints the decimated retina
-the vast magnificience
of the
eternal, endless heavens
permanently reflected
achieved by humans at last
    in his ruined eyes

do not tell him this

        - he cannot see it
