Consider all the others
in their swirling flights
down the page
clockwise down
& left to right
characters stepping stones
understanding
Do you think
their paper origami
lantern-lives
are burning bright?

Somewhere if there
is and end
it's on black sand
at the edge
of an ocean
They are in the skies
a burning notion
of muted fireworks
trifling meteors
destined to fizzle out
spiraling down
down into the night
& silent blind ages

only the poet knows what he writes
as all only know themselves - everyone dies alone

Once we die, our story ends and the page is turned - what we have just read disintegrates into memory, and fades into a faint spring storm of firing chemical signals at the depths of our minds.
