I guess I finally understand
Torment, before I take your hand
I guess you really had this planned
Out in your mind, ahh love is grand

I think I finally took the time
To write a little heartfelt rhyme
I think that if love was a crime
In Yoda speak "jail going, I'm"

I know this shit is corny but
All day I've been in quite a rut
Spent most of it with eyes wide shut
Waiting for you to tell me what

To do to fill this void
For this pain I just wish to avoid
Each moment spent, truly enjoyed
It's sad to know it's been destroyed

By one night without common sense
I know the pain caused was immense
Emotions have become too tense
Not even candles & incense

Can fix the hurt I caused that night
Or help me to make things alright
In silence do I fear your spite
In shadows I can't see the light

But maybe if I got some sleep
My soul would finally cease to weep
Good-night my love, I'm counting sheep
Perhaps into my mind you'll leap...
