Could I get some quiet? Please?
Could everyone shut up? Could we try it?
If silence came in a six-pack,
Would anyone buy it?

We live in this world,
Of beeping, and screaming, and buzzing,
Gun-shots, shouts, screams, humming,
Everything's so loud, we can't control the volume,
Pretty soon we'll be howling at the blue moon!

There aren't a lot of things,
That make me happy... To date I'd say 7, maybe 8.
But I can't even count how much I hate!
Do I cry? No. Scream? No. Complain? No.

Why can't they all just bottle it up?
Or better yet, just let it go?
Maybe then I could get some peace & silence?
We all need quiet, it promotes peace of mind.

Peace of mind, is so hard to find,
When someone screams in your ear "Do you mind?!"
So shut-up, sit down, let's get back to life,
Because I'm having a hard time dealing,
With everything,

With a knife.
