a bottle of red wine was all it took...

it would have taken less...

when have i ever said no?

a glance.

a smile.

a kiss.

and i was in your arms.

perfectly content

to bask in your charm.

i've given much more,

for so much less...

and yet,

your effort made the moment.

Saying things i hardly ever hear,

taking the time

to make it perfectly clear

That i am beautiful

to you.

And even now I know,

i will never take a sip of red wine

without tasting the heat of your kiss...

gorgeous. I love that last stanza; the passion in it is wonderful. Excellently done.
