Each beginning waits simply for its own end,
Following the spiral down,
Into the ether.
Blissful
...destruction//distraction...
The cessation of feeling.
A blessed emotional cease-fire.
Allowing only one single moment
For one single relieved intake of breath...
One gentle exhalation...
That quietly repressed sigh of sorrow
Swallowed down
    Until this moment...
                 This ending.
One moment of calm
Before i am enveloped by yet another stormy sea.
Simply to await the end....

                            ...to begin again.

this is beautifully sorrowful... I feel awash with calm as it reminds me that all things must come to an end. This has comforted me today. Thank you so much.

I've written more than my fair share of poems of this nature. All have failed where you have succeeded. And it only took you one try.*drowns in envy*
