there is a fragility hidden
like tiny confessions
runes etched and carved
upon the small bones of my wrists
so when i brush your cheek
it slips out quietly masquerading
in a sort of graceful movement
hoping you'll realize
as you kiss my palm
that i am more easily breakable
than i will ever admit
yet even as i gaze at you
hope dusting my lashes
attempting to mask my fractures
with soft eyes and held breath
yet somehow i know
you can see the inscriptions
as you whisper nirvana
against my palm
transforming them
and in turn me
into something
closer to delicate
