clouds kissed sterling
and i dared to raise my sight
as your eyes reflect infinity
and i can do nothing but gaze
enchanted as if caught up
embraced in songs of moonlight
the stained glass cage i keep myself in
it fractures and breaks and i contemplate
how faded are the colors beneath
the thin ice that dwells upon my skin
can you kiss me with starlight
and make me believe i'm worth more
than a full moon on an Autumn night
or the sound of nightingales at midnight
it is the warmth of your fingers
tracing promises upon my wrist
your whispers floating across my cheek
melting away every shard of defense
making the watercolors of me
celestial with your grace
