in your eyes i found lands of fantastical possibilities
places i thought forever out of reach
but you brought me doves in a silver cage
then let me set them free
to fly to the farthest reaches of eternity
my dreams tied neatly to their feet
and you kissed my forehead
drew your fingers down my cheek
whispered softly so only i would hear

angel
if you like
we can do this forever
