it was the way his hands held her face
as if it were the finest porcelain
feather light and beyond reverent
it was the way he inhaled as his lips descended to hers
as if he were breathing her in slow and long
imprinting the very essence of her onto his memory
it was the way his eyes dove into hers
as if the floodgates of a storm were thrown wide
the sea swirled and danced with passion and promise
it was the way he kissed her then
as if the universe exploded into a thousand sighs of tenderness
gravity released and she floated filled with
devotion and being loved for being
