the sky
lashed its pain
against my window
a river of tears
blurring existence

every exhale
light lashing out
across the atmosphere
as each inhale
rattling to the bones

eyes growing darker
rage expanding
energy draining
great wracking sobs
roared through the clouds

as its cries diminished
i held my breath
unable to turn away

i knew
with solemn clarity
exactly what i'd look like
if i didn't hide
behind a smile

*not sure if i'll keep this, it just needed to stop rolling around in my head*

more like sky scrying. as in finding images in pools of dark water. the way you do with a blank page and reate such a fine art.
