This is your life, a shallow and fleeting illusion in the depths of eternity. What will you do so that your mere instant of physical being shapes this world for all who come after?

Will you sit by idly and wait for your turn to die; your turn to join the endless and nameless masses of dead souls that no one cares to remember?

Or will you rise up and make yourself known, a god among men that will be spoken about "as long as there are bards left alive to tell the tale"?

Hercules, Odysseus, Gilgamesh, Sigurd the Volsung - legends or men, myths or history, these are the heroes that know not time or death.

"...But all men die, and no brave man lets death frighten him from his desire."

This reads like a prelude to a story. Well done.
