The painter and the poet
*~.Winter's Kiss.~*
These Spiders Cluck Like Chickens
Table for Two
...frozen butterfly requiem dreams

private the piper plays
turning the reflections
within the musicians daze

compositional expectations
of music to ghost the days

the nightingale droops on her precarious perch
as gilted wings shudder with each laboured sigh
melancholic notes flutter... shimmers of silver silence
woven with the forlorn tones of a shephards' flute

haunting the nights' air
with such sanguine sorrow
wilting chromatic moonbeams
that pass within their hollow
promising the wonderthoughts
for a single mind to borrow

beyond the other nowhere
the dancers dine on death
minds melding the melancholy
'till the moon runs out of breath
towards another somewhere
to suffer the fate of Macbeth

the wolf stands firm on his precarious perch
as silvered fur ruffles with each lustful howl
a celestial body quivers... in sinful scintillation
as desperate notes arise from the reapers' lute

silent the piper plays
twisting the deflections
between the daylight haze

compositional vibrations
of music to show the ways

I really like this generally. word choice, the way the stanzas are contrasted. It works very well.

This sent so many visuals floating through my mind. So many devastating possibilities masked. Too cool. ~Ship!

this is so lush with sumptuous words and full-bodied lyrical power... it is delicious, creamy, soft..... not sublime, but divine.... absolute and pure beauty.

Thank you so very much mud man for the escape, for the dream, for the "compositional vibrations"... I am lost among them still.

collateral words......an absolute musical cadence..........to say i felt this would be an injustice to the quivering effect still lingering..

Breathtaking. Nice job here. You write fantasticly, and really put my work to shame. I dont read as much stuff on here as I should as I am missing things like this.

gods how i've missed your writing... this is like being wrapped in velvet lush dark and smooth, beautiful yet threaded with sullen breaths.... its enchanting and consuming yet laced with such aching ..... leaves me breathless
