Ribboned smoke blooms from your lips
A flower in the air
Words crack and ooze with tenderness
Yet I doubt you ever cared

I sit amongst my ruins
I've been silent for so long
Pieces of my past burnt black
My eyes concealed, blind to your wrongs

You have hunted my self-worth
And preyed upon my pride
Ignored me when I spoke to you
And spit in the tears I've cried

Each and every time you did
I turned the other cheek
I'm running out of places now
And can't help but whisper pleas

I'm not one to harm another
And I will not cause you pain
Though I take it all to no seen end
To smile I won't feign

My heart's been worn to ashes
And it still belongs to you
Hopefully one day your eyes
Will allow me to see through

You always have had a way with words that makes me jealous. This was an amzing piece of brilliance, a great return from the seemingly eternity it has been since I have heard or seen anything of you...>Raven

I liked this for the most part, although some of the flow is sketchy. Wonderful rhyme scheme, I really saw the world through this poem's eyes...nice write, Dommi.
