You spread me like a centerfold
With nothing more than words
You touch my hair-my foolish gold
With a voice like none I've heard

This skin I've been ashamed of
A great endeavor to not show
Shaking ramparts of misty blush
You dug through to below

Inside where all my secrets dwell
Whether dirty or just scarred
Setting foot in my tainted cell
You penetrate my guard

As baffled as I am by it
You were not driven away
In a place where even I don't fit
and can barely stand to stay

Awkward as this made me feel
The way you speak has such a pull
The layers all now gently peeled
The first time I felt beautiful

I lay before you, nearly bare
Trembling in wait
My eyes are closed, I feel you there
Spread open in your gaze

Incredible piece, left me speechless, but I had to leave something behind. Especially loved the last stanza, very true expression at its best

You should always feel beautiful...but then, where would all this beautiful poetry end up? better from you than wasted on some inexperienced newbie. Great write ;}= Bloth
