In the arms of the night
I’m calling to you
I don’t want to fight
Memories too few.
Just take me away,
To some safe place.
Picture’s turning grey
I’m losing your face.
The images distorted,
Sound fading out.
All attempts thwarted,
Surrendering to doubt.
I just wish that you were here
To guide me through all this,
Shield me from the fear,
Lead me into the abyss.

But you’re too far gone
To hear what I ask
I’ll keep struggling on
But there’s a crack in my mask.
Truth seeps through
They see how I feel.
Still missing you.

I wish you were real.
