The flames begin to lick at my skirt
Firey hands groping at my bloodied, unshaven legs.
Steeling myself against the pain i try to will them away,
Fire, ever treacherous, continues to burn.
Faces all around, jeering, throwing my few belongings on to the fire.
Books you can't possibly read or bring your tiny minds to understand.

'DEVIL WORSHIPPER'
I am guilty of worshipping nature, we have no devil, he is not an essential part of OUR religion, OUR minds.

The woman closest throws a rock, i delivered your child
And yours.
Nursed your son through illness.
Your daughter carries my name.

Legs now red-raw, hairless begin to smoke
Despite myself i'm hungry.
As the last vestiges of my habit falls away those 'righteous God fearing' men crane to get a better view of my bare breasts before they burn.

"Did the devil sodomise you my child?"
"No, just you father."

Through the smoke i see the spirits of my sisters past smiling, waiting
But still i never look from the figure who would see me die every day, positivly smirking from his cross,
Will live it every night in his dreams until i catch up with him.

I never did you ill and yet you fear me for my beliefs, i fear yours;
"ETERNAL SUFFERING AWAITS ALL WHO QUESTION GODS INFINITE LOVE"
The irony is lost on you.
Can't you understand that you love and worship the same figure?
