Glistening eyes under the Moonlight
Stare deep into the blue Sky and
Refuse to look at me
Goosebumps appear as I feel the
Cracks growing on my Heart
An attempted Handshake
Instead of a good-bye Kiss
My eyes swell and close
I feel your hand on my cheek
Quickly it's Gone
The love I once had escapes
Through the widening cracks
I hear your feet drag in the Sand
I feel the wind pushing me Down
Through the openings my eyes make
I watch your back disappear
Into the placid water
Silence fills the air
Clear Tears fill my eyes
The melancholy vision of your footprints
Is now blurry
My knees fall into the sand
It spreads in every direction
My tears fall into the grains
In the morning they will be carried away
By the waves
A part of me will always follow you
