I danced with angels,
at the foot of my bed.
They saw me sleeping,
and thought I was dead.
They pulled back the covers,
and saw my pale face,
stunned by the beauty,
that time hadn't erased.
I opened my eyes,
and saw my old friends.
I could see in their smiles,
we must make amends.
The last time we gatherd,
I demanded my wings,
but it just wasn't time,
to see the king of all kings.
They knew I had made it,
their relief shining through.
Now we'll both fly together,
cause I stayed here for you.
So tonight in remembrance,
of the triumphs I've led.
I'll be dancing with angels,
at the foot of my bed.
