love is the fucking martyr
the Christians couldn't and don't
understand it,
but they tried-
they limited it,
called it man/god/lord/Christ
can you imagine love
within the boundaries
of our humanity?
the bitterest of martyrs
three words, the trinity
spoken more than any others,
and yet the least understood-
nothing to some,
to others,
there is nothing else-
won as equally and easily as
it is lost
lied for,
fought for,
killed for,
lived for,
humiliated for,
paid for,
sold for,
died for...
what?

love... its beyond the common man's most self-righteous interpretations... yet exists right in the heart of said same common man given the right prompting... ironic.
