foolish trust once lit my heart
with such eager jubilation
that i was tricked
by the false comfort of your warmth
on more than one occasion,
blinded by the darkness of a counterfeit sun;
yet in spite of that,
through subtle application of my other senses,
i took notice of your second face - -
sulking across the gray skies
steady as an eclipse,
owing insight to it's ominous (fore)shadows
another of life’s whispered wisdoms cognized-
the dimness of betrayal is equalized
through lucid revelation
