The young night crawls,
as it learns to fight,
dimming away the light.

Proven victorious,
The shadows eat away.
Dismantling the righteous.
Expecting there they lay,
finished with the day,
nothing else to say,
no need for them to prey.

Why waste time with all this nonsense?
Is it not enough that life is so dense?
As I live with the dead
They mention what I have not said.
Life is too crooked to bother another look.
Sin is pleasure and Lent is pain.

Burning light,
dissolves away the night
Lass-lorn like a deserted child.
Secrets never seem so mild.
The future has now come.
Just as we predicted just as the sun.

You can stare into the sun,
stare into the sun.
burn the eyes from the sockets.
Now the power of sight is gone
all that is left now is darkness
once again we are left in darkness.
Slip, slip, slip away,
give in,
give out.
Like the rest,
you don’t understand.
It is not the darkness.
It is it’s cycle.
