Darkness shadows over the city's lights.
Late at night a cloud falls from the sky,
devouring the city.
Enchanted with mystery
the streets are filled with a void.
no one to be seen, nothing to hear
except the voice of the night.
The night now comes alive,
one after another a creature passes by my side.
Some look at me with wonder
as if I do not belong,
some just pass and act as if I didn?t exist.
They look for others to socialize with
as if they where in place of the people that where absent in the night,
as if they where the souls of the city.
Lost in the haze I loose my way,
every creature I see is looking,
and judging my every move.
they seem to become hostile,
as They reflect pessimistically on their night.
I begin to panic.
I recognize nothing now.
I feel my presences is not wanted.
I anticipate the uncanny creatures next move.
I don?t bother for a second look,
I begin to run.
I turned a corner to hit a wall,
but as I turn around,
I see myself right in the daylight of the city.
