As you journey to life’s end
& pass beyond its spheres
I sit upon the nighest shore
To whisper words of mourning

May it be a forgotten star has shone
Upon paths to regions unknown
The pain evanesces/was transformed
Into songs of fragile beauty

In my heart I keep a prayer
& forever hold it close
The time ‘tis not far
When we’ll meet in distant verdant fields

beautifully put...I'm just not a fan of 'tis', very archaic....but that's me, this poem was its own brevity of a journey, blossomed and shone
