With daffodils and ecstasy pills,
I await the morrow's dawn.
But what relief hath they brought to me?
'Tis better I wrote this poem.
I feel a pain inside my heart,
And a stirring within my chest.
A moment with thee, tis all I ask!
For that I'd give my last breath.
This was actually a precursor to Daffodils II
With a few-year-gap in between.
