In one ear and out the other.
It's a lost cause don't even bother.
Societies too fucked for me.
I just need a fix to set me free.
The fire burns inside my head.
It brings me to my knees.
The mountains rise to reach the sky.
Then crumble to the sea.

You thought it was gone but it's all that you had.
A last chance refuge...It's driving you mad.
Life and death it all means the same.
You pointed the finger, but now who's to blame?
The fire burns inside my head.
It brings me to my knees.
The mountains rise to reach the sky.
Then crumble to the sea.

You can't turn your back on an uncaring world.
Just wait and see, in time you'll be heard.
Forced to wade in a sea of dispair.
In a world gone black, where nothing is fair.
The fire burns inside my head.
It brings me to my knees.
The mountains rise to reach the sky.
Then crumble to the sea.
