with words unspoken
they flee the wreckage of twisted obsession
and shards of rage and shattered spirits
lay waste in a garden of broken dreams.

with words unspoken
they rinse the remnants of futile affection
and trampled hopes and failed trust
in fields of everlasting soiled remains.

with words unspoken
they wipe their eyes too weary for tears
and played out remorse for another chance
in a quiet tango of silent goodbyes.

with words unspoken
they leave the scene like hardened thieves
a jaded despair and hopeless abandon
in stolen moments of a time gone by.

with words unspoken
they stagger onto separate planes
an emptiness too vast to fill
in shaded view they fade away.

this still hits just as hard as the first time i read it. i think then i was at a loss for words as well... it causes a well of aching and longing but at the same time written in such a way it's impossible not to read it over a few times and just sigh over it... miss your writing
