When we used to be brother and sister-
Star twins. Laced together in the sky.
Mirrored inside of our eyes.
We could kiss each other like children do.
Just to get the taste of each other.
Like sucking on their skin.
We used to be connected,
Needles and glossy pink thread,
Baring open each others insides-
We let the skies flow between us-
We became each others moon in those nights.
No black blankets covering. Just twinkling bright.
We weren't so boney then.
Our hearts fed us what we needed to survive.
Now we try to starve ourselves to make it come back to life.
Don't desert me now, Heart, show me where my love lies.
Instead we eat each others lives now. Eat the shine from each others eyes.
We're two seprate beings now.
When we used to be one. Disconnected from a source.
A brick wall is between us.
One that's made of flesh and bones.
I regret things that could've been. (Ours starred eyes are fading out now.)
When a familar smell sparks memories I wonder to myself.
If I kiss him again. Once more. Could I sew back together.
Our two pieces of broken heart?
