I fear I know what I must do
The shame in your face yields undeniable proof

With all the sordid melancholy it will bring
For far too long has my heart been on its string

Let you drift away, let the wind catch your sail
Try as I have, to conquer your heart,
I have failed.

You begin this quest for a love lost at sea
You are my everything, but yours cannot be me.
