Yet and still,
Im trying to live on,
Trying move along,
Trying to be strong.

I still try to love you and simultaneously fool myself,
into believing that I can get along,
without you.

I dont write as much as I used to.
Though before, that was the only way I knew, to combat the
constant thoughts of you.

You, who called me today,
For a brief minute the sun shone,
But by the time I hung up the phone
I stood unaffected, inaffective, counter-productive,
inadequate, and ultimately, and utterly alone.

I realized, haphazardly, my stupidity, after the fact.
As the insignificant prattle of my words sluggishly left the chasm, I heard the oblivious words of a stranger that I could not take back.

And when I could not take it anymore, when I couldnt stand it any longer.
You ended the conversation, not a minute too soon.
And, I lay there, releived that I was gaged and restrained, wonderous, for there would have been more elouquence plundered.

Such a graceful flow with overwhelming intelligence. Captivating, as the Mistress Shadow said. Very much so.
