People don’t understand when I say I’m just me
They try to look deeper digging to see what they can see
I am very simple with my own complexity within
But I guess in this world individuality is a mortal sin
Because people always need someone to compare you to
And just to find a comparison they tear deep into you
They think that everyone has to have their way of life
Like every individual has to have their problems their strife
So when they peer into me to see what they can see
Instead of a long complex answer I tell them I’m just me
