I hear the rumble of civilization,
the layered patterns of creation,
and i lay awake wondering,
where did this all begin??
The first ordered stone? or lit fire?
Perhaps the first breath...

These swirling patterns are towers,
stones arching out from the keystone.
The central prime piece, altered so,
and today we have a constuction
of upward inverted pyramids.

I hear the sounds of the mundane,
the tick of a bedside clock,
rushing air as a car splits by,
they rhythmic whine of a distant train,
But i see echoing layers of assembled
patterns.

Intertwining, yet seperate they mingle,
connecting and diverging in weaves
my mind screams, and thought wavers,
so much to hold, awareness can only take
so much! Abbreviated and indexed,
a library of connections realized, and
still the echoes wait to be catalogued!

I hear the rumble of civilization,
and i tremble.
