I push the heavy oak
The door creaks open
Then nothing but silence greets me
It seems to call out to me

I look down and see her
Lying there lifeless
An empty vial lying on her palm
I hear her wail pass along the mist

Her eyes are cold and glassy
Staring up into the sky
Oh, to see what she sees now
Can she now see what is left behind?

Why didn't she come to me?
To tell me the darkness she kept inside
Not only killing herself
She is killing me
