Touch me softly
Let me pretend that you care

Kiss me slowly
Let me pretend that your only mine

Hold me gently
Let me pretend that you think of me

I need my little world of illusions
Or else my grief
Would overwhelm me
And I would crumble into
A thousand pieces

Just as my heart
Is now
