It's When I Close My Eyes

It's when I close my eyes
that you're but a moment away
It's when I close my eyes
Im devoid of guilt and pain
It's when I close my eyes
I feel your breath
brush across my fingertips

If an eternity with you meant sleep
I'd close my eyes to the demons
that plague my mind
I'd close my eyes to hold you...
hold you deep inside.

It's when I close my eyes
I hear you call
It's when I close my eyes
that you break my fall
It's when I close my eyes
I feel you against me
warm, secure, close

If an eternity with you meant sleep
I'd close my eyes to the world
that keeps you from me...
keeps me from having you.

It's when I close my eyes
that we're one...
It's when I close my eyes
we can go on.
